Based in Carpinteria, California, Procore develops various cloud-based applications to help construction professionals with project management, quality and safety control, and financial accounting.

The company launched the partnership with Habitat for Humanity through its charitable initiative, Procore.org. The technologies will help Habitat better manage construction costs and scheduling on its new-build and renovation projects. Currently, Habitat is using Procore tools at over 40 local offices, but the organization plans to make them available to Habitat groups worldwide.

Paws in the City Seeks Volunteers to Help Run the Nonprofit

Since 2011, Taylor Tomnitz has worked for D.R. Horton in Los Angeles, California, as its senior real estate agent. She is the top sales agent for the L.A./Ventura Division in regards to terms or units sold and total dollars. A former resident of Texas, Taylor Tomnitz remains connected to and supports Paws in the City founded in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area.

A nonprofit, no-kill organization, Paws in the City seeks to end the overpopulation and neglect of cats and dogs in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area. Almost 95 percent of its revenue goes toward training, boarding, and medical expenses. With a staff consisting of more than 150 volunteers, the organization strives to find loving homes for every adoptable animal.

Because it is volunteer-run, Paws in the City needs people to fill numerous positions. All volunteers who work with the animals must be at least 18 years of age. Some available volunteer spots include:

* Transporters. People in this volunteer role take dogs and cats between boarding locations and veterinary offices. On weekends, they drive animals to adoption events.

* Fosters. As one of the most important positions, fosters open up their residences to dogs and cats and bring the animals to adoption events. They pay for food and look after the animals.

* Fundraisers. These people work with sponsors to put together professional-quality fundraising events to raise money for the nonprofit.

A Look at D.R. Horton’s Luxury Single-Family Homes at The Faircrest

Taylor Tomnitz earned her BA in history from Loyola Marymount University and followed her father, former D.R. Horton CEO Donald J. Tomnitz, into the real estate business. Since 2011, she has worked as a senior real estate agent for D.R. Horton, the premier home builder in the country. Taylor Tomnitz sold 60 single-family homes in 13 months in The Faircrest development to become a top sales agent in the company.

Located between La Cienega and Fairfax in the heart of Los Angeles, The Faircrest is close to food, shopping, entertainment, and transportation. D.R. Horton has three home plans within the community, ranging in size from 2,613 to 2,894 square feet and four to five bedrooms. Homes in the community were priced from the high $1.3 millions to the low $1.5 millions. All 60 D.R. Horton homes within The Faircrest were sold in a little over a year.

Enriching Lives with Affordable Housing

A senior real estate agent at D.R. Horton in Los Angeles, Taylor Tomnitz was the company’s top sales agent in 2016 for both the number of homes sold and the total dollar volume. Mixing business with philanthropy, Taylor Tomnitz supports Habitat for Humanity, an organization with a vision of helping every person have a decent place to live.

Many American families are in need of affordable, quality housing. More than half of all Americans admit to making trade-offs such as reducing health care coverage at one point in their lives to pay the rent or mortgage. The following family is an example.

Evan lived with his wife Kittie and their two sons in the San Francisco Bay Area. Both Evan and Kittie are teachers who were paying up to 60 percent of their income on rent before Kittie decided to stay home to take care of their children.

Evan and Kittie’s home had mold problems, which complicated their son Sean’s allergies. Evan was unsure of how he could continue working at the school and pay his rent.

Luckily, Evan came across a Habitat for Humanity flier and reached out to the organization. The family qualified for Habitat’s affordable housing program.

Evan now lives with his family in a rehabbed home in East Palo Alto. The home’s mortgage is affordable, and Sean’s allergy symptoms have improved.

Saint Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church Asks Volunteers to Help

As the daughter of former D.R. Horton chief executive officer Donald J. Tomnitz, Taylor Tomnitz works as a senior real estate agent at the Los Angeles-based firm. Due to her strong work ethic, she has become the company’s top sales agent for its luxury line called Emerald Homes. When not at work, Taylor Tomnitz supports several Dallas-based affiliations, including Saint Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church.

Started after the end of World War II, Saint Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church invites congregants to worship God through liturgy and music. People come to hear about Christian faith, find supportive Christian friends, and find comfort through God. The church currently serves about 7,000 people in surrounding areas.

In addition to serving congregants at the church, Saint Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church invites volunteers to help serve in the community. From February 3-10, 2018, volunteers venture to Honduras to provide fluoride treatments to children and reading glasses to adults. The trip occurs in and around Tela, Honduras, and volunteers also have a chance to work on a nearby construction project.

Underrated Los Angeles Architecture - The Castle Green

Taylor Tomnitz serves as a senior real estate agent for D.R. Horton in Los Angeles, California, where she specializes in selling high-end new construction. Having held this position for more than five years, she has been the top sales agent for total dollars and total units sold. Further, Taylor Tomnitz maintains an interest in architecture.

The Greater Los Angeles Area is full of beautiful examples of various types of architecture, including the Castle Green in Pasadena, one of the city’s most underrated architectural marvels. Built between 1893 and 1903, the Castle Green stands as a reminder of the elegance and mystery associated with old Hollywood glamour. It was originally built as a seven-story annex for the famous Hotel Green and was designed by architect Frederick Roehrig.

By combining Spanish, Victorian, and Moorish influences, Roehrig created a stunning building that blended pillars, balconies, domes, and arches. Exterior lights were used to illuminate the annex’s roof line and two southern towers, and an enclosed bridge connected the building to the Hotel Green’s first complex. Further, the Castle Green was the first fireproof building in Pasadena, thanks to its brick walls, concrete floors, and structural steel.

When the annex first opened, it served as a popular resort for wealthy easterners looking to escape the winter cold. Over time, the building and its lush gardens played host to business tycoons and presidents. The Castle Green was separated from the Hotel Green when it was sold in the 1920s, and is now a renovated condominium building and Officially Designated Pasadena Treasure.

YRNF Projects and Resolutions - Puerto Rican Statehood

Taylor Tomnitz, a senior real estate agent with Los Angeles-based D.R. Horton since 2011, participates in a variety of charitable and political initiatives. One organization Taylor Tomnitz is a member of is the Young Republican National Federation (YRNF), a political organization which consists primarily of Republican Party members between the ages of 18 and 40.

One major nationwide initiative the YRNF has been working on is the statehood of Puerto Rico, which it supported by passing a resolution in its favor in April of 2017. Despite the U.S. citizenship status of its residents, tradition of military service, and long history as an American territory, Puerto Rico has no representation in Congress and its people cannot cast votes for the presidency as a result.

The YRNF believes Puerto Rican statehood is consistent with Republican values such as individual liberty, personal rights, and inclusion, and that this move will help further include the Hispanic community of America in the country's political life. It joins other major Republican figures and organizations, including the Republican National Convention, President Donald J. Trump, and Vice President Mike Pence in its support of this initiative.

The Paws in the City's Guest Dog Program

Taylor Tomnitz earned a bachelor's degree in history from Loyola Marymount University. Now based in Los Angeles, California, she has established a career in the real estate industry and is currently a senior agent for the number one builder in the United States, D.R. Horton. Outside of her professional obligations, Taylor Tomnitz supports non-profit organizations such as Paws in the City

Paws in the City is a volunteer rescue organization serving the areas around Dallas and Fort Worth in Texas. Identifying itself as a no-kill organization, Paws in the City is committed to helping find new homes for all adoptable cats and dogs - and in the long run, end overpopulation, neglect, and abuse of cats and dogs within its scope of responsibility.

The organization administers several programs that aid it in achieving its goals, one of which is the guest dog program. The guest dog program provides an online avenue for people who have found a stray, as well as pet owners who are planning to rehome their pets, to announce that they have an animal available for adoption. However, there are several requirements before anyone is permitted to participate in the program. Current pet owners must be able to show their pets' up-to-date vaccination and spay/neuter records and be able to prove that their pets have been on flea, tick, and heartworm preventatives.

After these requirements have been complied with, pet owners should then complete an information sheet that includes a write-up on a pet’s personality. A photo of the pet will then be posted on the site following a payment of $35. Adopters must exhibit that they have the capacity to care for an adopted pet.
