Taylor Tomnitz, a senior real estate agent with Los Angeles-based D.R. Horton since 2011, participates in a variety of charitable and political initiatives. Paws in the City is a volunteer rescue organization serving the areas around Dallas and Fort Worth in Texas. Identifying itself as a no-kill organization, Paws in the City is committed to helping find new homes for all adoptable cats and dogs - and in the long run, end overpopulation, neglect, and abuse of cats and dogs within its scope of responsibility.The organization administers several programs that aid it in achieving its goals, one of which is the guest dog program. The guest dog program provides an online avenue for people who have found a stray, as well as pet owners who are planning to rehome their pets, to announce that they have an animal available for adoption. However, there are several requirements before anyone is permitted to participate in the program. Current pet owners must be able to show their pets' up-to-date vaccination and spay/neuter records and be able to prove that their pets have been on flea, tick, and heartworm preventatives.After these requirements have been complied with, pet owners should then complete an information sheet that includes a write-up on a pet’s personality. A photo of the pet will then be posted on the site following a payment of $35. Adopters must exhibit that they have the capacity to care for an adopted pet.
